  • National Security Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School (2007 - 2008). Developed curriculum and then co-led a National Security Seminar on counterinsurgency in the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs

  • West Point Assistant Professor at the United States Military Academy (1996 - 1998) and served as the core curriculum course director for the American Politics course for all West Point second year students (1,000 on average) including development of new teaching based on the role of groups and their influence on policy at the U.S. State and Federal government levels.
